Description
TYPE I is a personal art project by Pieter Bas Bouwman, who has lived with type 1 diabetes since he was seven. The work translates a daily reality into a visual language of repetition and rhythm.

Central to the piece is the tension between control and temptation, two forces that constantly vie for priority.

Each work consists of a box filled with insulin syringes, hand-arranged into a pattern on a wooden substrate. Placement requires patience and precision; the resulting repetition evokes the routines that structure a life, whether diabetes is involved or not.

A plexiglass lid completes the work, a temptation that remains visible but just out of reach.

Shipping
The artwork is shipped in the original box. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
