Indian dough or kneading bowl (parat), probably teak wood, crafted from a single piece. Two sharply tapered handle corners, circular bead carving around the foot. Signs of wear: lightly worn rim, a depression in the middle from use.
A few small cracks, one of them repaired with a hand-nailled iron sheet, presumably long ago.
Surface presumably waxed or polished.
Age estimate: approximate; no appraisal available.
Size
50 cm wide (diameter)
10 cm high
Approximately 7 cm deep
Tip: Because of the handle corners, measure the greatest span, i.e., from tip to tip.
