Description from the seller

For sale: a refined and imposing vintage bronze doré “trinket tray” (clip tray) from the era, designed and crafted by the renowned French artist and founder Monique Gerber (historic Art du Bronze studios, France) around the 1970s. The object belongs to the famous sculptural series "ROC," inspired by the rugged forms of natural rock and rough stone. The outer edges feature a magnificent and complex textural finish in perfect modernist and brutalist style, while the wide inner concave surface is mirror-polished to perfection, ideal for holding keys, coins, or jewelry with maximum elegance.
Unlike many unsigned pieces produced at the time for corporate tributes, this piece is entirely authentic and bears the original hand-engraved monogram "MG" on the inner bottom of the gold-plated surface (with the distinctive geometric raised letter "M" and the script "G"). It is the largest and heaviest model of the series, a high-collectible piece with a striking visual and tactile impact.
