Le Yack, Above the Lights - Hand-signed, a 2023 limited edition digital painting on canvas in 40 × 40 cm, signed by the artist and produced in France, sold directly by the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
At the top of a hill, a glass-and-wood house unfurls its cantilevered roof over the city. In the glass bay, a naked woman stands still, profile to the night. Behind her, a living-room lamp, a leather chair, and plants. Outside, the city lights stretch to the horizon.
Yack turns the room into an observatory: the spectator watches what the woman watches, and one no longer knows who reveals more, her or the city. It’s Los Angeles as seen in film noir and postwar photography, viewed from the window.
An intimate, silent nocturne, between modesty and the desire to dominate the landscape.
A solar and sensual painting, with the scent of chlorine, salt, and the warmth of sunlit tiles.
