Minotaur – Sculpted bust in patinated plaster with a bronze finish

A sculpture depicting the Minotaur, reinterpreted through a strongly plastic and contemporary language. The figure features a powerful human anatomy united with the bull head, with particular attention to the expressiveness of the gaze, the tension of the face, and the modeling of the musculature.

The work is made of patinated plaster with a bronze-tone finish, deliberately irregular to create color variations and chiaroscuro similar to an ancient metal surface. The patination, in tones of brassy brown and brunet bronze, accentuates the volumes and gives the sculpture an archaeological character while remaining contemporary at the same time.

The subject recalls the myth of Asterion, the Minotaur of the labyrinth, not only as a monstrous creature but as a profoundly human figure, suspended between strength, isolation, and vulnerability.
