Ivanova Katerina - Inspiration Bursts

"Inspiration bursts", 2021, oil on canvas.

This painting shows inspiration at the moment it arrives. Hundreds of small, petal-like shapes burst together into one glowing cloud against a deep indigo night.

Each shape is a single idea, a spark, a fragment of feeling. Corals, raspberry pinks, and crimsons carry the warmth, while cobalt, teal, and flashes of yellow keep the energy moving. Dark and light outlines turn the whole surface into a living mosaic, like stained glass lit from within.
Thin drips run down from the bottom of the cloud into the blue. They show that inspiration can’t be held still. It overflows, spills, and keeps flowing beyond its own edges.
The dark indigo background stands for the quiet before an idea comes, and the colorful mass is the moment it ignites.
Painted in oil in an expressive, layered way, this original is meant for people who want a piece of creative energy in their space. It works as a statement piece in a living room, studio, or office, and it keeps revealing new details the longer you look.
