In this square format, Medsan isolates Sailor Moon, the heroine of Naoko Takeuchi's series, in a three-quarter view on a nearly black brown background. Head tilted, a slight smile on her lips, she lowers her blue eyes toward a small full moon that she holds in the hollow of her white-gloved hands, as one would cradle a flame. Only this moon lights the scene: its amber glow warms her gloves, her face, and her tresses.
She is recognizable by her two round buns studded with red pearls, from which fall her long blonde ponytails down to the bottom of the image, the golden crown adorned with a red stone on her forehead, the crescent moon earring, and the red choker bearing a crescent. She wears her sailor uniform: dark navy collar with white stripes, a large red bow held by a round golden brooch, long gloves edged in red, a second red bow at the back. Under the name Medsan, he explores the worlds of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits icons of popular culture by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms.
