In this square format, Medsan conjures the Xenomorph from Alien between two pillars of a golden corridor. The creature crawls on all fours, body curled, its long black, gleaming head lowered toward the ground; its mouth open on sharp fangs reveals its second jaw, from which a thread of saliva hangs. A clawed hand comes into the foreground resting on the polished tiled floor, and its segmented tail arches over its back to the far end of the room. The pillars are covered with small golden, black and red tiles, with wide-open eyes and spirals; on each, a calm-faced woman, haloed by a golden disk, looks toward the center. In the background, a row of golden arches extends into a warm light that reflects on the floor. Bottom right, the cartouche メドサン in a black rectangle. Shiny black, warm gold, and touches of red: the beast seems to have found a temple suited to its measure.

Medsan and Popsan are two signatures of the same artist. Under the name Medsan, he explores the universe of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe.
