Decorative ornament (2) - chicken - Japan - Rooster and hen figurines

This set of Japanese-style cast iron painted rooster and hen figurines is a classic Japanese zodiac auspicious ornament. The rooster's tail feathers are outstretched, while the hen has a plump body. The entire piece is made of finely cast bronze with delicate texture. The comb and wattles are decorated with red lacquer, giving it a rustic and soft color scheme. The bottom bears the maker's mark and comes with the original black lacquered tray, making it a complete pair.
