Description from the seller
Two swiveling piano candlesticks / wall candle holders (2 pieces).
What you get is an exquisite, perfectly identical pair of swiveling wall candle holders from the era of the original Art Nouveau around 1900.
The set impresses with its organically floral, typical vine motifs of Art Nouveau. Made in the traditional sand-casting process from solid brass (completely non-magnetic).
The pair is in unused, pristine original condition. The surface has been deliberately left unpolished to fully preserve the valuable, deep patina gained over the last 120 years. There are no modern repairs or screws. All threads, drip pans, and wall plates are preserved in their original state.
As a special feature and proof of authenticity, the candlesticks still carry the characteristic, slightly oily smell of the original historical factory conservation (protective grease / bluing oil), as they have remained untouched through generations and were never cleaned with modern chemical cleaners.
