This is an antique Tibetan fire starter, also known as a chuckmuck or mechak. The object consists of a leather pouch for tinder and flint, with a steel striker on the bottom. It is decorated with silverwork and a turquoise gemstone. These items were traditionally carried by nomads. Carefully packaged and insured for shipping.
