Description from the seller
Loïc Tuhal (1962) – The Power of the Gaze
Loïc Tuhal, born in 1962, is a French contemporary painter whose work is characterised by a physical and expressive approach to painting. He places particular emphasis on colour, texture and gesture, creating compositions with vibrant contrasts and a strong visual presence.
This work, entitled “The Power of the Gaze”, depicts two faces in close-up, brought together by an especially intense interplay of gazes. A third eye appears at the centre of the composition, creating a striking visual tension and adding a unique sense of depth to the work.
The vivid palette, dominated by reds, oranges, blues, greens and pinks, combined with generous brushwork and rich pictorial texture, gives the work a powerful presence and a distinctly contemporary character.
Technique: oil on canvas
Dimensions: 90 × 120 cm
Signature: signed by the artist
The artist's biography will be provided in French with the artwork upon shipment.
