Description from the seller

TRIPTYCH — PORTRAITS #153, #154 AND #155

Series: The 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Year: 2026
Set of three original, unique works

In this triptych I build three female figures using a neocubist and hard-edge language, with defined black lines and large color surfaces. The elongated vertical formats emphasize the elegance of the necks and allow the costume elements to traverse each composition.

I work with deep and light greens, golden yellow, cream, and black, accompanied by small coral accents and red lips. The shared palette unites the three paintings, while variations in faces, hairstyles, and earrings preserve the individuality of each character.

In portrait #153, the stepped hair introduces an architectural structure. In #154, a yellow curve crosses the hair and visually continues into the wardrobe. In #155, the dark updo and the green arched earring contribute a more rounded rhythm.

The relationship between straight lines and curves creates a dialogue among the three figures. I aim for the whole to convey serenity and character, letting each viewer imagine the stories and connections between the characters.

These paintings are part of my series The 1000 Faces, a project of one thousand original, numbered, irreproducible portraits. Each face occupies its own place within the collection and, in this set, shares a chromatic balance with the other two.

To ensure safe transport, I ship the canvases carefully protected and rolled inside a sturdy tube. The works are delivered unstretched.

ARTISTIC SERIES: THE 1000 FACES

The 1000 Faces is an evolving artistic project comprising one thousand original portraits, numbered and different from one another. Through this series I explore human identity and the ways a face can express character, emotions, and inner states.

Each character arises from a particular combination of lines, geometric shapes, and color relationships. Although the works share a recognizable visual language, each face has its own composition and personality.

Fragmentation allows me to represent different facets of the same figure. Color planes and asymmetries open interpretive possibilities, while the gaze and small gestures maintain a human connection.

My objective is for each painting to function independently and also belong to a broader universe dedicated to diversity and individuality.

Portraits #153, #154, and #155 contribute to this journey with three distinct presences, united by color, verticality, and the dialogue between their forms.
