Description from the seller
The traditional dunnage warehouses are characterized by thick stone walls, earthen floors, and low slate roofs that ensure a constant temperature. In these warehouses, a maximum of three casks are stacked on top of each other, keeping evaporation almost constant – a crucial factor in the high quality of Glenfarclas. Although this storage method may seem inefficient at first glance, Chairman John L.S. Grant that it is indispensable for the characteristic standard of a Glenfarclas Single Malt.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Glenfarclas 2014 “The Dunnage Warehouses” The Trinity Vintage Series No. 2 tastes like
Nose: The nose is characterized by intense sherry aromas, accompanied by warming spice and hints of dried fruit. Subtle aromas of wood and malt round off the bouquet.
Palate: On the palate, the whisky displays a powerful presence at cask strength, harmoniously supported by sherry-typical depth. Spicy nuances combine with subtle, rounded wood notes and an elegant fullness.
Finish: The finish is long and lingering, with a beautiful balance of spice, sherry character, and gentle wood. The notes remain present for a long time, leaving a lasting impression.
