Necklace in 18 karat gold (750) Le Gi – Vicenza – with an ancient Roman coin
Tubular necklace in 18 karat gold (750 fineness) signed Le Gi, with the official Italian hallmark ★ 314 VI (Vicenza) and the manufacturer's mark “Le-Gi”.
Features:
• Smooth tubular elements in yellow gold connected by two-tone spiral spacers (yellow gold and white gold)
• Pendant and centerpiece formed by three concentric gold rings that enclose a dark bronze ancient Roman coin (emperor portrait on the obverse, horseman on the reverse)
• Lobster clasp with adjustable extension chain
Weight: 49 grams
Gold weight: about 39 grams
Weight of the Roman coin in bronze: about 10 grams.
Conditions:
In good overall condition. The gold shows the normal patina and light signs of wear consistent with the piece’s age. The ancient coin shows oxidation and traces typical of its time. No obvious structural defects.
The necklace is a typical example of contemporary Italian jewelry, from the 1980s/1990s, reusing an authentic ancient coin.
Please carefully examine all photos, which are an integral part of the description.
