Description from the seller

I propose at auction an extraordinary and imposing vintage necklace, a true masterpiece of artisanal goldsmithing that unites the depth of natural lapis lazuli with the excellence of Portuguese gold craftsmanship.

The necklace is composed of wonderful natural lapis lazuli stones, skillfully faceted into diamonds, alternated with refined spheres in 21-carat yellow gold (875/1000), famous as the Portuguese "Ouro Nacional," a precious karat with an intense warm color.

Exceptional Details and Handcraft:

Scale Design: Both the lapis lazuli stones and the gold spheres are arranged in a scaling sequence: they start with smaller sizes near the clasp to achieve a majestic, impactful presence in the central part.

Unique Handmade Craftsmanship: The gold spheres feature very fine engravings and geometric shapes entirely handcrafted by Portuguese master jewelers. Being a 100% artisanal work, each sphere is a unique piece and differs slightly from the others, an irrefutable guarantee of authenticity and manual workmanship.

High-Security Clasp: The snap locking clasp is integrated with a lateral safety hook (eight-point safety), ensuring maximum security and peace of mind when worn.

Vintage Detail and Curiosity: The necklace was strung with care using a red thread, an intentional choice tied to the previous owner's superstitious tradition as a protective charm and good luck amulet against the evil eye.

Length: 47.5 cm
Total weight: 39.87 grams
Lapis lazuli diameter: from a minimum of 5.3 mm to a central maximum of 8.6 mm
Gold sphere diameter: minimum 5.2 mm, maximum 10.4 mm
Estimated gold weight: 15-20 grams
