Description from the seller

TRIPTYCH — PORTRAITS #156, #157 AND #158

Series: The 1000 Faces
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Year: 2026
Set of three original, unique works

In this triptych I build three female figures using geometric shapes, defined black lines, and flat color surfaces. The square format concentrates attention on the faces, the hairstyles, and the relationship between the curves of the clothing and the divisions of the background.

I work with orange, terracotta, cream, earth tones, and black. Small turquoise accents introduce a contrast that connects the three paintings through the earrings, the eyes, and some details of the clothing. The burgundy lips reinforce the serene expression of the characters.

In portrait #156, the short hair outlines a broad, angular silhouette around the face. In #157, the waves of the hairstyle and the terracotta fringe create a more fluid movement, accompanied by a turquoise gaze. In #158, the updo and the curved bands of the hair dialog with the arched earring.

The three figures share a palette and a visual language, but preserve different gestures and structures. I aim for the conjunto to convey calm and presence, leaving space for each viewer to imagine the characters’ identities and the relationship between them.

These works are part of my series The 1000 Faces, a project of one thousand original, numbered, and irrepeatable portraits. Each painting has its own composition and occupies an individual place within the collection.

To ensure safe transport, I ship the canvases carefully protected and rolled inside a sturdy tube. The works are delivered without a frame.

ARTISTIC SERIES: THE 1000 FACES

The 1000 Faces is a developing artistic project consisting of one thousand original, numbered, and distinct portraits. Through this series I explore human identity and the multiple ways a face can express character, emotions, and inner states.

Each character arises from a particular combination of lines, geometric shapes, and color relationships. Although all works share a recognizable visual language, each face has its own composition, personality, and color balance.

Fragmenting the face allows me to explore different facets of a figure. The asymmetries and color planes bring new perspectives, while the gaze maintains a direct connection with the viewer.

My goal is for each painting to function independently and also to be part of a broader universe dedicated to diversity and individuality.

Portraits #156, #157, and #158 add to this journey a dialogue between warm tones and turquoise accents, uniting three distinct identities within a single composition.
