Description from the seller
A rare vintage Bucherer Electronic model, dating back to the 1970s. It is a fascinating piece from the early "electronic" era of Swiss watchmaking, predating the market's total domination by quartz movements.
Watch Specifications:
• Brand: Bucherer (known today as Carl F. Bucherer, the renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Lucerne).
• Movement: Electronic. These movements utilized a battery to power an electromechanical system or an oscillating balance wheel, blending traditional watchmaking with early electric components.
• Case Design: "C-shape" / Tonneau-style steel case, perfectly embodying the aesthetic of the 1970s.
• Dial: Silver/white dial featuring classic straight hour markers (baton markers) and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The inscription "T Swiss Made T" appears at the bottom, indicating the use of tritium for the hands' luminescence.
