Two porcelain De Wan Objets d'Art plates from Italy, dating to 1970–1980, in excellent condition with minor signs of wear, featuring a limited numbered series with a central multicolour sailing ship motif, gold relief and cobalt blue edge, sizes about 26 cm and 13 cm.
Description from the seller
De Wan Objets d'Art collection plates, a renowned Italian manufacturer that creates exclusive pieces in ultra-fine hand-finished porcelain.
The hallmark of this particular limited and numbered series is the central multicolored decoration depicting a historic sailing ship (training ship) at sea, framed by a wide, lavish band of finely relief-work solid gold and a cobalt blue outer rim.
The photo shows two coordinated formats of the same series:
• A large main display/wall plate with a diameter of about 26 cm (with holes on the back for mounting).
• A smaller coordinating plate with a diameter of about 13 cm.
On the back of each piece is the original mark of the Turin-based house and the progressive hand-written serial number that certifies its limited edition.
