Description from the seller
Splendid manifesto dedicated to the famous Milan Motor Show of 1907, one of the most fascinating images of early automobilism and the pioneering era of engines.
Note well: This is a later edition, probably from the 1970s.
The work depicts a suggestive symbolic allegory with a winged figure flying above an early 20th-century car, in a visually impactful composition that fuses Art Nouveau (Liberty), modernity, and the myth of speed. An iconic image of the Italian Belle Époque, sought after by enthusiasts of automobilia, historic advertising graphics, and early-century design.
The poster was designed by Leopoldo Metlicovitz, one of the most important Italian poster artists of the early 20th century, a key figure in the golden era of Italian advertising graphics.
