Description from the seller

Splendid advertising manifesto dedicated to the famous Fernet Branca, historic liqueur of the Branca Brothers of Milan and an authentic icon of Italian tradition.

Note well: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The famous composition depicts a theatrical and fairy-tale character entirely composed of Fernet Branca bottles, in one of the most original and recognizable images of European advertising from the early twentieth century. The poster celebrates the product as an aperitif and digestif, calling it “The King of Amari.”

The work is drawn from the famous creation by the great Leonetto Cappiello, considered one of the fathers of the modern poster and author of some of the most iconic and sought-after advertising images of the 20th century. His extraordinary ability to synthesize elegance, color and immediate communicative impact made his posters famous worldwide.
