Description from the seller
Discover Le Général de la Révolution Blanc 2023, a singular cuvée from Domaine Comte Abbatucci in Corsica. This Vin de France honors the richness of the island grape varieties: Vermentino, Rossola Brandinca, Riminese, Carcajolo Bianco, Biancone and Paga Debiti. Gathered in an original blend, they express the identity of a Corsican vineyard rooted in its traditions.
The vines derive their character from granitic arenas, a terroir that contributes to the wine's freshness and mineral dimension. At tasting, Le Général de la Révolution offers an expression that is at once ample, lively and silky, with floral notes, white fruits and a persistent finish with saline and spicy accents.
This gastronomic white wine will elevate a noble grilled or sauce-covered fish, a lobster, a scallop carpaccio with citrus, white meat, or an aged goat cheese. Already pleasant to enjoy, the 2023 vintage also has aging potential of several years; it can evolve in the cellar and gain in complexity. The consulted sources indicate a drinking window that can extend to about 2033–2037, depending on storage conditions.
