Anne-Tjerk Mante's L'Aigle Noir is a contemporary landscape drawing in mixed technique, original edition, 2026, 29 × 20 cm, hand signed, in excellent condition, created in the Netherlands and sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
The artist, Anne-Tjerk, created this drawing using acrylic markers and pencil on paper, aiming for a graphic style. All the elements are sharply defined, with a warm, dreamlike use of colour. The sky surrounding the black eagle features open areas, adding a sense of tension to the image. Hand signed bottom right in pencil.
Anne-Tjerk Mante (1969) is a Dutch painter and alumnus of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague (the Netherlands).
When painting, he works primarily with oil and acrylics on linen or canvas. For drawing he uses different kind of markers and pencils. His technique ranges from expressive to surrealistic touches, driven by a deep fascination with the universe, light, and the natural landscape. Most of the time, his works begin with the inspiration of the natural landscape. Yet, his work can range from the nearly abstract—characterised by space and tranquility—to the colourfulness and bustle of an annual fair.
Through painting and drawing, he experiences a continuous journey of discovery through the (in)visible world. His captivating creations embody a quest to capture beauty and wonder.
