Description from the seller
Georges Muchery – The Astrological Tarot – 1927 – Numbered copy no. 1332 under blister
Original edition of 1927 – Illustrations by Henri Armengol
Paris, B. P. Grimaud, 1927.
A rare work by Georges Muchery devoted to the correspondences between tarot and astrology, illustrated by Henri Armengol.
In this volume, the author develops an interpretive system associating the signs of the zodiac, the decans, the planets, and the astrological houses. He presents different tarot drawing and interpretation methods, in an approach characteristic of French esotericism in the interwar period.
The book is richly illustrated with compositions representing the zodiac signs, planetary influences, and astrological symbols. The black-and-white illustrations testify to the graphic aesthetics of this early publication.
Exemplary copy no. 1332, according to the documentation accompanying the work.
Important feature: the book is kept in a protective blister. This packaging is maintained unopened in order to preserve the copy in its current condition.
The photographs allow observation of several illustrated interior pages, notably the Aquarius, Cancer, and Pisces signs, as well as pages devoted to the drawing methods and to astrological interpretation.
