PYTHIA - Bust, David's Inner Core – Golden Skull Edition - 27 cm - Plastic - 2026

Pop Surrealist Sculpture "David's Inner Core" – Golden Skull Edition
Collection Bust in 3D Print – Deep Black Body and Skull Set in Metallized Gold
Bring into your spaces a conceptually bold work of art with extraordinary visual and symbolic impact. This sculpture reinterprets in Pop Surrealist style one of the most iconic works of Italian Renaissance, Michelangelo's David, blending the harmony of classical art with the provocation and mystery of contemporary Dark Art.
Artistic Concept, Technical Inset, and Chromatic Contrast
Neoclassical Reinterpretation and Pop Art: The bust captures the famous features of David – the curly mane, the proud gaze, and the neck muscles – reimagined in an elegant, deep matte/satin black tone.
Gold Inset Skull: The piece features a sculptural opening on the left side of the face that reveals the interior of the skull, finished with a spectacular metallized gold and glossy coating. The skull is inset within the head’s architecture through a sophisticated interlocking system, designed to welcome the golden component and to emphasize the Vanitas concept and the eternal beauty that hides a mortal nature.
Chromatic and atmospheric contrast: The contrast between the dark, opaque shell and the golden heart creates a magnetic focal point. Light reflects off the orbital cavities and the anatomical reliefs of the skull, granting the piece a shifting expressiveness depending on the viewing angle.
