Yema Da Taschino pocket watch with a manual-wind movement, in a stainless steel case, 35 mm diameter, NOS condition, accompanied by a matching gold-tone chain and original Yema tag.
Description from the seller
Yema Vintage NOS – Elegant mechanical pocket watch and pendant, complete with a gold chain and an antique Yema tag.
Interesting example of vintage watchmaking signed Yema, the historic French house founded in 1948 and known especially for producing mechanical timepieces with a distinctive design.
The watch is presented in New Old Stock (NOS) condition, i.e., as a piece from vintage stock preserved without normal daily use. The presence of the Yema tag and the coordinated chain adds to the piece's collectible charm.
The round case, with a gold finish, measures 35.5 mm in diameter and has a thickness of just 7.5 mm. The particularly slim proportions give the watch an elegant and discreet profile, suitable for use as a pocket watch or as a pendant.
The white dial, clean and minimalist, features a refined minute track with black Roman numerals arranged along the perimeter. The two thin black hands create an elegant contrast with the light surface, while the Yema logo is positioned at the upper part of the dial.
The winding crown is located at 12 o'clock, in keeping with the traditional configuration of pocket watches. On top there is a metal ring intended for attaching the chain.
The movement is manually wound mechanical, documented by open-case-back photographs. It features a compact construction with winding wheels, metallic bridges and an adjustable balance wheel. The specific caliber and the number of jewels have not been identified with certainty.
The case back presents a gold finish with a satin central area with vertical grain. Opening the case back allows observation of the inner structure of the case and the movement.
The piece is accompanied by a gold chain with decorative links, a fob and the original tag bearing the Yema brand. These elements constitute an interesting aesthetic and historical complement.
The aesthetic conditions appear particularly good for its era, with possible minor traces of conservation and handling. The NOS qualification refers to the declared condition of the piece and does not constitute a guarantee of the absolute absence of signs of time.
Documentation of a recent service is not available. The correct operation, timing accuracy and power reserve are not certified.
A timepiece with vintage charm, of interest to Yema collectors and enthusiasts of mechanical horology, vintage accessories and compact-sized pocket watches.
