Italian school (XVIII) - Cristo Benedicente

30x23 cm antique oil painting on copper with fragment of an old label behind the frame and the copper is newer; it should be from the 17th century. It resembles somewhat the style of Salvador Mundi by Da Vinci. I bought it from the heirs of a sculptor together with other paintings; this one was there too. For me it was surely made by a skilled master of the period—the face of Christ has something special if you look closely. The frame should not be considered; it is a courtesy gift. Consider it as without a frame... Behind it, to me, there seems to be a natural patina that won’t come off. For about four centuries of life I’d say it is in generally good condition with signs of wear and aging; it needs restoration as shown in the photo. I am selling only within the European Union (EU). No Malta or distant islands... and it is difficult to ship elsewhere.
