Two 0.75 L bottles of Vosne-Romanée 1981 from Domaine Henry Lamarche, produced in France.
Description from the seller
Vosne-Romanée 1981 – Domaine Henri Lamarche – 2 bottles
A fine lot of two bottles of Vosne-Romanée 1981 from Domaine Henri Lamarche, a historic Vosne-Romanée estate now known as Domaine Nicole Lamarche.
The Lamarche family holds a distinctive place in the history of the village, notably through its ownership of La Grande Rue, an exceptional monopole vineyard situated between La Tâche and Romanée-Conti, which would later be promoted to Grand Cru status.
These bottles therefore come from a particularly interesting period in the estate's history, still bearing the Henri Lamarche label.
Condition:
remarkably good and consistent fill levels for Burgundy bottles over 40 years old;
original capsules in good overall condition, showing natural age-related patina;
labels remain clearly legible and show normal signs of ageing;
one label has a small area of paper loss around the medallion;
cellar stored.
An attractive lot for both collectors and enthusiasts of mature Burgundy, offering the opportunity to experience an old Vosne-Romanée from an estate intimately connected with some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
2 × 75 cl bottles.
The photographs form an integral part of the description and clearly show the fill levels, capsules and condition of the labels.
