Lock and key Industrial design - Prison cell lock Lips

A beautiful and tangible piece of Dutch judicial history. This is an original, authentic antique Lips prison lock, directly sourced from the iconic Norgerhaven prison in Veenhuizen.
It concerns a very complete set, which is unique for this kind of collector's item:
• Original Lips cell lock with the characteristic T-handle.
• Original, marked Lips key (locks and functions perfectly).
• The accompanying heavy strike plate (for mounting in the frame).
The lock is in a nice, authentic condition with the original white lacquer finish and the characteristic signs of use (beautiful patina) that suit a lock that has been in intensive use for years in an active prison. Norgerhaven is a national monument and known for its rich history; this makes the object even more desirable among collectors of militaria, judicial heritage, or historical hardware.
The lock is neatly stored in a sturdy transport case (see photos).
