A handmade series of 12 bronze Olympic commemorative medals from Greece, finished in gold, silver or patinated, struck in 1996 and in good condition, titled Monedas medallas Juegos Olímpicos, with each authentic series accompanied by a numbered certificate.
Description from the seller
This series of 12 coins is based on reliefs of ancient coins that are defined as Olympic, either because they were minted in ancient Olympia or in other places to honor the victories achieved in the Olympic Games. The exact specifications are described on the inside.
The reliefs of these coins are created by engraver Vassilis Sabatakos, except for the relief of the decadracma of Akragas, which is a creation of engraver Stamatis Spagadoros. The series is minted by the minting method, not by casting; it is handmade and comes in 2 metals: silver 925, 7.5–8.5 grams or in bronze. The dimensions of the coins differ from those of authentic ancient coins and are stamped with the ANTIKA A mark and the alloy grade for the silver coins. These two elements (size and mark) ensure their differentiation from authentic ancient coins.
Each authentic series comes with this numbered certificate.
