Trittico of Antique Wooden Jewelry Boxes – Sorrentino Style and Carved (Lot of 3)
Splendid and elegant lot consisting of 3 antique wooden boxes and cases, ideal as jewelry boxes, catch-alls, or refined decorative pieces for collectors.
The pieces present different styles and artisanal finishes from the era:
1- Inlaid box made of dark wood decorated with the renowned inlay technique (Sorrentino style). On the lid and on the sides there are detailed mythological scenes and geometric friezes in light wood. Dimensions: 11 x 11 x 5 cm; weight 230 g
2- Modanato elegant rectangular box with a lid richly carved with relief floral/geometric motifs that highlight an edelweiss flower or Alpine star and a Lucerna carving. Shaped structure with supporting feet. Dimensions: 14 x 9.5 x 8 cm; weight 150 g
3- SN 924 F vintage vanity or sewing box, characterized by warm natural wood grain and embellished inside with a padded yellow fabric insert; all very clean and perfect. The lid features a metal-edged surround and in the center a large rectangular stone, quite unusual. Dimensions: 12 x 8 x 5 cm; weight 160 g
Good vintage/antique condition. There are light and normal signs of wear on the wooden surface that attest to its authenticity and age, without compromising its beauty or structural solidity.
