The measurements are:
- collage: 40.00 x 50.00 cm
Acrylic painting on shredded paper on canvas

I create paintings using acrylic paints and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash.

********

Fragments of images, words and silences - A familiar image, one we could all recognize, gradually transforms into something new. The characters lose their outlines, the colors blend, and even the comic book words become unreadable. It is a way to tell how difficult it is, at times, to truly communicate, even in a world full of images, messages and words. But there is also another transformation: that of matter. The work is made entirely with small fragments of recycled paper, salvaged from everyday life. Materials destined to be discarded find a second life, becoming colors, shapes and art. Thus, as the original image loses its identity, what was considered waste takes on a new meaning. A piece that speaks of communication, transformation and rebirth, reminding us that even what seems to have lost value can come back to tell a story.

Each piece is securely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely secure box, including the Certificate of Authenticity.
I use the courier provided directly by Catawiki.
A few days of delay may be caused by customs clearance at borders.
Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries.
A tracking number is provided.

Different light sources can give photos different colors.
In the case of works I frame directly, the dimensions may vary slightly as I personally prepare the wooden frame, stretch the canvas and mount it on the frame.

Born in 1974 I am self-taught.

After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long pause lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I have returned to the “two dimensions” for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.

I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I’ve been pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and real.

For me, painting is “freezing time” at that exact moment; one of my paintings is often a faded memory and therefore my works are “worn, eroded by time.” Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are views of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that—over time—grow on the surface.
The passage of time is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are clearly perceptible both to the touch and to the naked eye.

In this recent period, after several years during which my works were made from little pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wood discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical rigor that, seen up close, seem to form a colorful abstract picture, but the farther you go, the more a portrait emerges from the many painted wood discs.

Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report the fact that they are not their partners’ dolls and cannot be mistreated or worse, victims of violence.
