AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

In this lot we are auctioning a final-cut slice of Sericho, a pallasite (iron-nickel) meteorite, first found in Kenya in 2016. It is a meteorite of good size for a sample collection in which we can observe some olivines on the surface, as well as its interior through the polished section, where we can see olivines in its spectacular iron-nickel metallic matrix.

Pallasites are meteorites very rare in which olivines are embedded in a metallic matrix. They originate from the mantle of large asteroids, and represent only about 2% of known meteorites.

We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made from this material for life. Buy with confidence.

- Members of IMCA with number #7412 (International Meteorite Collectors Association)
- Members of GMA with number #G0095 (Global Meteorite Association)
- Members of The Meteoritical Society with number #6667

Best regards and our warmest wishes.
