Two vintage Mid-Century decorative brass items from Italy, circa 1960, comprising a quartz wall clock with Roman numerals and a decorative alpine landscape plaque, each measuring 35 cm square and 1 cm deep, with a bronze patina and good vintage condition not in working order.
Description from the seller
Lot of 2 vintage Mid-Century decorations – Brass, Alpine landscape and agricultural motifs
The lot consists of two refined vintage circular decorative metal objects with a brass-like or copper alloy appearance, featuring embossed details, three-dimensional reliefs, and a evocative antique patina.
The first piece is a decorative wall clock with a Roman numeral dial, surrounded by a rich composition of agricultural and wine-related motifs: grape clusters, leaves, barrels, vessels and tools of rural tradition.
The second is a decorative plaque depicting an Alpine landscape, with a chalet, church with a bell tower, mountains, trees and countryside, also crafted with pronounced relief work.
The two pieces reflect the decorative taste of the second half of the 20th century, particularly close to Mid-Century and European vintage aesthetics, where brass and worked metal objects were used as wall decorative elements.
The surface features a characteristic golden/bronze patina, in line with the age and the decorative finish of the objects.
Period: circa 1960
Style: Mid-Century / European Vintage
Material: brass or copper alloy, untested
Condition: good vintage condition, with normal signs of age, use and patina, visible in the photographs.
The lot includes 2 pieces:
• Decorative clock with agricultural and wine-related motifs
• Decorative plaque with Alpine landscape
A particularly decorative pair, suitable for collectors of vintage metal objects and European design from the second half of the 20th century.
