Description from the seller
Rare and Antique Swiss pocket watch dating from the late 19th century (late Victorian or Belle Époque era). This watch is RARE because it stands out for a MOST REFINED artisanal workmanship. The Guilloché enamel is the most precious feature: the outer ring in translucent red-orange. It is decorated with guilloché technique, where a colored enamel layer is applied over a base of silver engraved with repeated undulating geometric motifs, creating a prismatic optical effect that changes with light. It is a Half Hunter with 37mm diameter excluding the crown; the outer case in 935 sterling silver (we are at a very high purity level) features a central window that allows a glimpse of the hands, enabling time to be read at a glance without opening the protective cover. The dial is ceramic with Roman numerals, white and in EXCELLENT condition. The entire case is a spectacle; finely decorated with burin engravings featuring floral and geometric motifs typical of the era’s artistic watchmaking. The watch is in regular working order.
