Description from the seller
I paint because some things are easier to express in colors than in words.
For a long time, painting has been my space of freedom. A place where time stops, where emotions, memories, travels and encounters find another way to exist.
I am Argentine and I live today in Paris. Between two cultures, two continents and several lives, I paint what moves me: the light, the bodies, the objects, the symbols, the contrasts and those little moments that stay in memory.
I am a diplomat by profession, an artist since forever.
Since my childhood in Argentina, painting has accompanied my life. Very early, I studied the history of art at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, before continuing my artistic training as my diplomatic career has taken me through the cities and countries where I’ve worked.
In each of these steps, I looked for studios, took classes and was lucky to meet exceptional masters. Each left a mark on my way of looking, understanding and painting.
Diplomacy has allowed me to live between different cultures. Art has allowed me to observe them differently.
My works have been exhibited in Argentina, Russia and France. They carry something of these journeys, of these encounters and of this ongoing dialogue between my Argentine roots and the worlds I’ve discovered.
Each painting is a unique piece, handmade. And when a work leaves my studio, I like to think it begins a new story in someone else’s home.
