Description from the seller
THE WORK
-GALLUS II (2026). Mixed media on panel. 80x80x4 cm.
-In Gallus II, the figure of the hen becomes a study of the tension between representation and construction. The animal, recognizable and of strong presence, emerges from a dark, material background as its anatomy is deconstructed through lines, planes and geometric tracings.
-The layering of whites, blues, pinks and yellows introduces different levels of reading the body, as if it were simultaneously observed, analyzed and reconstructed. The lines that cross the figure overflow its boundaries and turn the pictorial space into a field of projection.
-The work starts from a recognizable image to lead it toward a more abstract territory, where matter, geometry and anatomy coexist in a single language.
- Hand-signed by the artist on the back and on the painting.
- Unique edition.
- New to the collection.
- The work is shipped without disassembly.
