M. Okkerse - Between Two Souls

An expressive original diptych in soft pastel on board, depicting two faces meeting across a narrow space of darkness. Their intense blue eyes create a silent exchange that suggests intimacy, tension and unspoken communication.

Vivid strokes of orange, red, yellow and blue contrast with deep shadows, giving the portraits a raw, painterly quality. The narrow gap between the two panels becomes an essential part of the composition, emphasizing both the connection and the distance between the figures.

Presented in a curved frame, the work creates a distinctive visual experience, bringing the faces forward and enhancing their expressive presence.

An original artwork by M. Okkerse.
