Magnificent and antique sculpture, a bronze animalier figurine from Vienna. It is a Vienna bronze by the famous Austrian sculptor and founder Franz Xavier Bergmann (1861-1936). The model is unsigned but widely listed. Some identical models are signed... no doubt the wear of time... It depicts a mother rabbit or hare standing on her hind legs, vigilant, with her two little baby rabbits in front of her, also in the same position. The sculpture is old, dating from the early 20th century. Very good condition. Time has done its work. Good preservation of the cold-paint finish.
