This limited release was developed in collaboration with Wes Henderson, co-founder of Angel’s Envy, and BLACKENED Master Distiller and Blender Rob Dietrich. The result is a six-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled at an impressive 58.1% ABV.

What makes this expression particularly intriguing is its finish in White Port Wine Casks. This adds a distinctive layer of ripe fruit, white grapes, pear, vanilla, and subtle sweetness to the rich character of the bourbon. On the palate, notes of raisin, citrus, butterscotch, cinnamon, and oak emerge, followed by a warm, peppery finish.

But BLACKENED is not just about what is inside the bottle. The brand is famous for its innovative “Black Noise” process, in which low-frequency sound waves from music are used to influence the interaction between the whiskey and its oak barrels during maturation. And naturally, with BLACKENED, the music comes from Metallica.
