PAOLO CONTIN has developed a personal artistic path for over twenty-five years, in continuous evolution. Trained in design and active in the fashion world since 1980, he brings to painting a distinctive sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. This has been followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is also documented by his presence in the Art Mondadori Catalog, with related valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of Tostart, an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Venetian artists and active until the Pandemic period.
Contin, an eclectic and independent artist, has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or tendency. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: each piece arises from the will to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
