Description from the seller
Hubert Duprilot was born in Tours (FRANCE) in 1975.
2018, acrylic on paper 300g (50x70 cm) "signed bottom right and on the back" the work will be sent rolled.
Neo-expressionist artist, Hubert Duprilot has been painting and exhibiting for over thirty years in France and abroad.
Through these human figures, the artist explores the tensions of our time while seeking to reveal a seed of hope in an universe sometimes dark and uncertain. His work questions our condition, our fears, but also our capacity to create connection and reinvent ourselves.
For several years, believing that traditional exhibitions mobilize a lot of time and energy to reach an audience often limited and insider, Hubert Duprilot chose to invest in urban space. Turning to street art, he offers a new freedom to his characters, making them leave the studio to inscribe themselves at the heart of the city.
On the walls, these silent presences meet a broader, more diverse audience, in a direct and spontaneous relationship. The public space then becomes an open-air gallery where art invites itself into daily life, provoking questions, emotions and encounters.
