Description from the seller
The Cat Knows Why
They always asked why I smile. Ask the cat: he has known since 1503 and tells no one. I left the misty hills to Leonardo and took a midnight kimono instead, its sash painted with green leaves, a white butterfly resting where my veil once sat. Magnolias bloom at my knees, pale as old varnish. My hands stay folded; some habits outlive the Renaissance. The window is bright, the room is dark, and I remain the most patient woman in art history.
-- Dimensions: 100 x 75 x 2.5 cm
-- Mounting: Professionally hand-stretched on a wooden chassis.
-- Framing: None (no external frame); painted edges ready for display.

About the Artist
Enigma is an Italian surrealist working across dream, disruption, and wit - never settling into one mood or one way of seeing. Some paintings are quiet and symbolic, others catch a moment coming apart mid-motion, others turn a playful, knowing eye on art history itself. What unites the work isn't a single style but a single instinct: reality treated as something soft enough to bend, fracture, or reimagine - rendered always in smooth, luminous brushwork and bold, contrasting color. Every canvas is one of a kind, never repeated.
