Enchanting hand-painted work from the second half of the 20th century, refined modern interpretation of the famous Rococo masterwork "Mother and Child" by the French master François Boucher.
The piece captures a sweetness of domestic interior scenes of days gone by. The painter demonstrates extraordinary technical ease: he abandons the rigidity of classicism to embrace a vibrant, impressionist brushwork, where rapid, loaded, and nervous strokes create a magnificent play of light and volumes. The bright red mantle of the maternal figure stands out, drawing light and contrasting magnificently with the warm, enveloping tones of the background. The work is signed at the bottom right by the skilled copyist master "Basi".

The painting (40x50 cm) is executed on an antique Italian craftsmanship-grade canvas, bearing on the back the original stamp of the prestigious paint factory "Pintura - Pure Cotton", mounted on a professional wooden frame with expansion corner keys.
