AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Unique and original painting, hand-painted by Raphaël Monnet

Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes matter, rhythm and movement.

He approaches the canvas as an space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated and confronted with contrasting colors. The impacts cross paths, certain areas densify while others allow the background to breathe.

His process does not rely on a pre-planned image, but on progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an balance emerges between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.

Based in the Léo Varek studio in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around projection and color superposition. His works possess an immediate presence at a distance and reveal, when you approach, a multitude of details, nuances and unexpected encounters between pigments.

Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of the projections, the distribution of matter and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.

Format and presentation

The indicated dimensions refer to the total size of the canvas. A painted peripheral section is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition.

Some images show the work in situ to facilitate projection into an interior. They are made with the ArtStage layout software which creates mockups (AI). Proportions may vary slightly according to the staging. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the actual size of the work.

The edges are partially painted and allow for a clean finish after mounting.

Shipping

The work is shipped rolled in a rigid protective packaging, without frame or chassis.

Slight creases may appear upon receipt. This is perfectly normal for a rolled canvas. These marks naturally disappear when it is tensioned.

For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer.

Shipments are made by express carrier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with careful tracking until delivery.

Some destinations may incur additional shipping fees beyond my control. In this case, the buyer will be informed before shipment to adjust the fees if necessary. Without approval of these fees, the shipment cannot be made.

Additional information

Colors may vary slightly depending on screen settings and shooting conditions.
Frame not included.
