Description from the seller

Very rare manifesto dedicated to the World’s Fair and International Exposition of St. Louis, United States, held in 1904.

Note: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The composition depicts a female figure in the foreground, accompanied by allegorical characters and motifs, within a rich decorative frame. At the bottom are the exposition details and a comparison with the previous exhibitions in Philadelphia, Paris and Chicago. The work is signed Alphonse Mucha and represents a notable example of Art Nouveau graphics, with sinuous lines, ornamental decorations, and warm tones.
