Islamic Textile Art Panel – Hand-Embroidered Cotton – Turkey – 20th Century
Açıklama
A distinctive Islamic-inspired textile artwork from Turkey, featuring a carefully composed symmetrical design with floral, geometric and architectural motifs.
The work is made on a cotton textile ground and decorated with colourful hand-worked textile motifs and stitched ornamental borders. The upper section forms a distinctive mihrab-like architectural composition, giving the piece a strong Islamic decorative character.
The muted grey-purple ground contrasts with the burgundy, pink, turquoise, yellow, orange and cream-coloured motifs. The aged appearance, visible textile texture and signs of use contribute to its vintage character.
The artwork is currently mounted in a frame for presentation.
