Description from the seller
Beautiful, artisanal lithograph (stone print) of the world-famous poster "Moulin Rouge - La Goulue" (original design from 1891) by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
This is a high-quality, manual reprint (litho) from the 20th century, printed on quality, handmade paper with an authentic, irregular deckle edge on the outside.
The artisanal quality is clearly visible: the ink is pressed deeply into the paper fibers and shines beautifully through from the back when you hold the print up to the light. The print shows the original 'crachis' (speckle technique) of Toulouse-Lautrec and contains the historical printer's details of "Affiches Ch. Lévy, 10 Rue Martel Paris".
No modern digital print or halftone printing, but a sought-after collectible for lovers of French posters and Art Nouveau.
