Description from the seller
Rare Chocolatiere with Original Moulinet France, 1965
An exceptional and highly decorative hand-painted porcelain chocolatière produced by the celebrated Parisian atelier of Camille Le Tallec.
Executed in 1965, the piece is lavishly decorated on a rich deep-green ground with finely burnished and gilt ornamentation inspired by the French Empire style.
The elegant baluster-form body is raised on three sculptural rocaille feet enriched with gilded relief decoration.
It retains its original carved wooden side handle, domed cover, and original wooden moulinet (chocolate whisk), a feature rarely preserved in complete condition.
The combination of refined gilding, architectural symmetry, and luxurious colour palette exemplifies the atelier's mastery of traditional French decorative arts during the mid-twentieth century
Hand-signed in red "Le Tallec Paris France" and bearing the blue atelier mark LT with painter's initials FE and date code corresponding to 1965.
Camille Le Tallec is internationally recognised for reviving the finest traditions of eighteenth-century French porcelain decoration, supplying collectors, decorators, and distinguished clients throughout Europe and the United States.
