Sculpture, Large Saddened Jesus sculpture - 35 cm - Oak - 1993

An incredible religious sculpture depicting a sorrowful Jesus wearing the crown of thorns.
The craftsmanship is meticulous and refined; the facial expression is rendered with great accuracy. The thorns are carved from a single piece of material—they are not glued on.
Carved into the base are the artist's initials and a handwritten inscription that I could not decipher; it is likely a mark left by a previous owner.
The sculpture is large and heavy.
It measures 35 cm in height and 13 cm in width, and weighs 2.210 kg.
